Not all National Trust properties are open yet, and those that are require pre-booking via their website, no later than 15:00 on the day prior to visit.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Orford Ness National Nature Reserve (National Trust)

A 10-mile long vegetated shingle spit stretching from Aldeburgh to Shingle Street. It is a nature reserve and a Grade I Site of Special Scientific Interest. A secret military testing area since 1913, it has been the site of many experiments in the field of aerial warfare, including being the birthplace of Radar and a site for the testing of atomic weapons throughout the Cold War period. On the site are waymarked trails through areas of natural history and military interest, viewing platforms and displays on its nature conservation value and historical significance.
