Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Not all National Trust properties are open yet, and those that are require pre-booking via their website, no later than 15:00 on the day prior to visit.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Sutton Hoo Burial Site

The Anglo-Saxon Royal burial site where the priceless Sutton Hoo treasure was discovered in a huge ship grave. The exhibition tells the story of the site described as page one of English history. Displays include some original objects as well as replicas of the treasure. The burial site forms part of the 245-acre estate given to the National Trust in 1998. Excellent walks and bistro-style restaurant.
